大さん橋 キュナード・ライン絵画展 来月開催 Osanbashi Art Exhibition of CUNARD LINE

船舶専門の画家、イラストレーター。本格海洋画風作品から水彩画、コミカルなイラストまで画風にこだわりを持たない。船旅専門誌のイラスト記事、横浜港の広報誌の表紙、レストランクルーズ船のパンフレット、クルーズ客船のギフト商品パッケージイラスト等を制作。クルーズ客船のキャラクター「クルボン」の原作者 東京海洋大学やクルーズ客船船内で水彩画教室を開催、年に1回、横浜で個展を開催、2019年秋には神戸でも個展を開催した。 少年時代に伊豆大島に行って以来、船と船旅の虜となり、故柳原良平氏の著書を読み船の絵を描き始める。 初代さんふらわあや初代にっぽん丸にも乗船したが、その後二十数年のブランクを経て船旅と船の絵を再開した。 水に浮かぶ乗り物なら渡し船からカーフェリー、離島航路等なんでも乗るが、家庭の事情から長期の外航クルーズ客船にはなかなか乗れていない。 公式サイトはこちらからどうぞ www.punipcruises.com

え〜 お知らせでございます。
わたしも参加させていただいております横浜のアマチュア絵画サークルSOUTH PIER(サウス・ピア）で３月の三代目「クイーン・エリザベス」横浜初来航を記念して同船の所属するキュナード・ラインをテーマにした絵画展を横浜港大さん橋国際客船ターミナルで開催することになりました。
昨年のＰ＆Ｏ/プリンセス・クルーズの絵画展と同様の企画ですね（昨年の様子はこちらをご覧ください）
上の案内にもありますように会期は２月２６日から３月１９日まで２２日間
１８４０年のキュナード・ライン最初の客船「ブリタニア」から、最新の「クイーン・エリザベス」まで、歴代のキュナード客船の絵を２８作品展示します。
そのうちわたしは９作品を展示するつもり…また有志の方々のご協力により往年のキュナード客船のメニューカードやパンフレット、1/1250の模型も展示する予定になっています。
みなさん、ぜひ見に来てくださいね〜
会期中は３月１７日（月）の待望の「クイーン・エリザベス」をはじめ、３月１日（土）の「バルモラル」、２日（日）のやはり初来航のＰ＆Ｏ客船「アドニア」など数多くの客船が大さん橋にやってきます（入港予定はこちらをご覧ください）
ちなみに上の案内チラシの絵ですが、右のＢバースはもちろん「クイーン・エリザベス」、左のＣバースは１９２３年（大正１２年）に世界一周クルーズでキュナード客船として初めて日本にやってきた「ラコニア」ＬＡＣＯＮＩＡです。
最初、この絵の構想を練っているときは先代の「クイーン・エリザベス２」と今の「クイーン・エリザベス」の２隻を大さん橋に並べて描くつもりでいたのですが、なんとなくインパクトが薄いのでこのコンビにしました。

Osanbashi Art Exhibition By “ＳＯＵＴＨ ＰＩＥＲ”
The ”CUNARD LINE” which has been established on 1840, 174 years long,
boasting to the world of its long traditional history who once had honorably served to the famous British Royal Family with the Ships of Mauretania, Lusitania, Queen Mary, and also had brought many famous Ocean liners on to the route of North Atlantic Ocean,
At the present time, they consequently has made a great progress as the subsidiary “Carnival Corporation” the world largest and long-established- cruise company of the world.
As our Port of Yokohama have kept a very good relationship between them, for over 91years, since the “Advanced and fresh Passenger ship” at that time “ Laconia” which had made the 1st visit to here in March,1923, on the way of her around the world cruise.
Later on, successively, many luxury ships had made the visit to Port of Yokohama, such as Caronia as “Green Goddess” , Queen Elizabeth 2 which had made a “hot social topics” on the media and among the people of Yokohama, and Queen Mary 2 but had a trouble with bringing the ship along the Osanbashi pier, because of her big size,
Accordingly, in this year, in commemoration of the coming of the luxury cruise ship Queen Elizabeth (3) will make a first visit to Port of Yokohama, after in 91years, after the 1st visit of Laconia and also other memorial ships of the “CUNARD LINE” in the past, “ＳＯＵＴＨ ＰＩＥＲ” the amateur artists' community hold an art exhibition of these famous ships at Osanbashi pier in Yokohama
