When I embarked on my journey as President of Crystal Cruises a year and a half ago, I made it very clear from the start that my vision was to grow our great brand. Today, we are one step closer to that vision becoming a reality with the announcement from Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) that it has entered into an agreement with Genting Hong Kong (GHK), under which Crystal Cruises will be acquired by GHK, and under the new ownership we will be growing our fleet with an innovative new ultra-luxury ship build. This is an exciting time for Crystal Cruises! The proposed expansion of our fleet will present luxury travelers with more itinerary options, accommodation choices and exceptional vacation experiences, as we continue to position Crystal as the innovative leader in global luxury cruising. Additionally, Crystal s veteran leadership, management and crew will be staying on board to continue to focus on our award-winning guest service. I and the entire Crystal Cruises family are extremely grateful to NYK for their unwavering support. For 25 years, Crystal Cruises has been incredibly fortunate to be guided by the commitment to excellence and safety of our parent company NYK in Japan. At the same time, we are also excited to embark on a new journey with the GHK family and build our new ship while continuing in our commitment to excellence and safety.
